More and more SMEs are planning to move forward with a software as a service (SaaS) solution, but it is specific solutions – not the appeal of SaaS in general – that is driving adoption, according to a new study from IDC. The study reveals that 5.1 percent of small firms and 15.2 percent of midsize firms plan to implement SaaS in the next 12 months. Small companies are most interested in adding CRM and remote access solutions; midsize companies are looking at online delivery of payroll and HR applications.
